Hi. I'm Alex Finessi, an experienced, award-winning director and cinematographer.

I have specialist knowledge and experience in filming wildlife, particulary underwater.

Based in Australia, I've worked in and explored several continents but chose to settle in Victoria so I could enjoy it's incredible ecosistems in my backyard. I enjoy being ready at a moment's notice to react to unique animal behaviour or fantastic ocean conditions.

Whether shooting narrative films, documentary features or commercial campaigns, my camera work and lighting have a naturalistic, organic quality, conveying passion, beauty, and even sometimes the absurdity of the human experience.
